Welcome to the month of July. Its hard to believe that we are already in the second half of 2015. This is the perfect time to get refocused, reenergized and excited about your goals in order to complete 2015 with a bang. Whether your goals are health and fitness related, career oriented, or just taking steps towards living the life of your dreams, these practical tips can help to catapult you into stratosphere. The theme for this month is VISION. At the beginning of 2015, I created a vision board for the very first time. Even my lofty goals that seemed unattainable in the near future were created and placed over my bed. As of today, more than 95 % of whats on my vision board is now reality. This method works, because creating a vision, increases focus and motivation to bring those visions to life.
Follow these steps to create your vision and live the life of your dreams.
Clearly define your vision for your life.
Mentally prepare yourself to live your dreams. You cannot live the life of your dreams if you are not ready.
Identify behavioral patterns that are currently holding you back and be willing to let go of old habits.
Identify recurring patterns in your life. Determine whats working and what isn’t.
Determine what you will do differently to break recurring cycles that are holding you back from your dream life.
Identify fears, past situations that are shaping your future, and determine what you need to let go of.
Take responsibility for everything that happens in your life. Realize that you are the master of your destiny and even though you do not have control of everything that happens in your life, you still get to determine how you deal with what happens.
After completing this exercise you're ready to create your vision.
Break down your goals into categories. These are the categories I use: HOME, CAREER, RELATIONSHIPS, FINANCES, SPIRITUALITY.
You can use old photos, quotes, pictures etc. Personally I like to use a lot of glitter, power words and phrases.
Remember nothing will work if you don’t. Place your vision board in places where you frequent, including your computer, bathroom and bedroom. As you make choices and take action always ask yourself “Does this align with my goals? Is it talking me closer or further away from it?”
